Mexican drug lord Joaquin "El
Chapo" Guzman has been extradited from a prison in northern Mexico to the
United States. Guzman was one of the most wanted drug kingpins till he was
captured in January 2016.He escaped from prison twice before he was re-arrested.
"Mexican Government today gave Mr
Guzman Loera to the US authorities," It was announced by Mexico foreign ministry,
the news has also been confirmed by the US Department of Justice.

Chapo” would face criminal charges over his role in the joint crime syndicate
called the "Sinaloa Cartel"."The Justice Department extends its
gratitude to the Government of Mexico for their extensive cooperation and
assistance in securing the extradition of Guzman Loera to the United States.
He
fought so hard to stay in Mexico all his appeals are in vain. Mr. Guzman flew
to the United States on Thursday in Ciudad Juarez, sharing border with Texas.
